Give a Dog a Bone

Staff Report

The dog food shelves are empty at Ranger’s Pantry Pet Food Bank, and Ranger needs help to restock the pantry. Ranger’s Pantry will be holding a Pet Food Drive in front of the Walmart on North Mall Avenue in Fayetteville on Friday, April 27, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Since opening, Ranger’s Pantry has assisted more than 1,190 pets by distributing more than 34,500 pounds of pet food. Ranger’s Pantry supplies pet food to Fayetteville pet owners who are experiencing temporary financial hardship.

This allows pets to remain with their families instead of being surrendered to area shelters.

Donated pet food can also be dropped off at any Fayetteville Fire Station, at the Community Services office at 125 W. Mountain St., or at All Around Storage located at 2650 City Lake Road. Cash donations are also welcome and can be sent to City of Fayetteville Community Services, 113 W. Mountain St., Fayetteville, AR 72701. Checks should be made out to City of Fayetteville. One hundred percent of all cash donations are used to purchase pet food for the pantry.

If your community organization or university group would be interested in volunteering to hold pet food drives to benefit Ranger’s Pantry, please call us. For more information, please call 479-575-8260.
