Friday, May 27

Smoke & Barrel Tavern in Fayetteville: At least a $3 donation to go to Red Cross. Starting at 6 p.m., six bands will provide live music, including Cletus Got Shot, Swimming, David’s Pegasus, Messy Sparkles, Memphis Pencils and The Kopecky Family Band.

Jammin’ for Joplin: 7-10 p.m. at the Frisco Stage in downtown Rogers with Legendary John Barry, Recycled, The Lush Puppies. A truck will take donations of bottled water, blankets,tarps, diapers, diaper wipes, hand sanitizer, work gloves, flashlights, batteries, etc. Monetary donations will go to the Red Cross.

George’s Majestic Lounge: $3 for seven bands — Brought To You By Us, Silent Waits the Archer, Jarris, Dreamfast, Chemical Discipline, JOn3z, Abacinated. Doors open at 8 p.m.

The 2011 Grandiose Music Fest @ The NWA Showcase Theater (Gymnastic Joe’s in Fayetteville): $4 of every ticket will go to benefit Joplin. Supplies will also be collected. Show runs from 11 a.m. to midnight. Acts include DJ Bass Kid, Basscadet, DJ Wiz Kid, Kopecky Family Band, Jarris, Surf De Soleil, Brought to you by us, Okkoto, The Common Crooks, Samurai Luncheon, Looking Through Your Eyes, Sacred Cities, Internecine, Man vs Malice, One Shall Betray, Death Becomes a Hymn, Native Son

Bar Hoppin’ for Joplin: A $5 wristband gets you into Grubs, The Green Room, Stir, Shots, Hog Haus, Common Grounds, Farrells, Smoke & Barrel with drink specials and raffle prizes.

David Crowder Band: 10 percent of ticket sales at the Arkansas Music Pavilion concert will go to the American Red Cross. Two semi-truck trailers will also be positi…oned outside of the venue to collect goods that victims of the storm desperately need such as: sterile adhesive bandages in assorted sizes; hypoallergenic adhesive tape; aspirin or non-aspirin pain reliever; anti-diarrhea medication; antacid (for stomach upset); blankets or sleeping bag; pillows-pillow cases; toilet paper; soap, liquid detergent; feminine supplies; personal hygiene items-soap, towels, deodorant, shampoo; paper cups, plates and plastic utensils; flashlight and extra batteries.
