ffw-feature-4-8-10 The Fayetteville community is coming up with some pretty cool ways to celebrate. Some inspiring earth friendly events happening are happening in the coming days. Here are some of them.

Saturday, April 10
Lake Fayetteville Watershed Partnership spring cleanup — 9 a.m. to noon. For information on how you can help, go to LFWP.org.

Saturday, April 17
Fayetteville Farmers Market — 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fayetteville square
Fayetteville Forward Summit — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 1 E. Center St. The city’s public forum to plan Fayetteville’s by promoting economic development through innovative collaboration.
B’Earth Day Cards — Community art installation of birthday cards for the planet created by students of the Fayetteville School District and participating Eco-passport partners. 1 E. Center St.
Green Your Life ECO-Trade Fair — 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fayetteville Public Library
Earth Day Open House at French Metro Antiques — 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Organic snacks and beverages and conversations about the value of reuse.
Greentown Greensburg Presentation — 4 p.m. Mount Sequoyah Retreat Center. Free talk by Daniel Wallach, director of the Greensburg Greentown. In May 2007, the town of Greensburg, Kan., was destroyed by a tornado. The community has made a remarkable comeback, reinventing itself as a model for sustainable building and green living and is now recognized around the world.

Sunday, April 18
World Peace Wetland Prairie Earth Day Celebration — 1 to 5 p.m. 1121 S. Duncan Ave. Family fun and games, music by Emily Kaitz and Still on the Hill.

Monday, April 19
Earth Day landscaping — 4 to 6 p.m. at Leverett Elementary School, 1124 W. Cleveland Ave. Sponsored by Appleseeds and the Leverett PTO. Everyone welcome.

Tuesday, April 20
Help “Curb the Clutter” for Earth Day. Walk your block, street or neighborhood by yourself, with your family or as an organized neighborhood event to pick up litter. 718-7685 for info.

Thursday, April 22 — EARTH DAY!
Beyond Sublime: Changing Nature Art Installation — Walton Art Center’s newly renovated Joy Pratt Markham Gallery
University of Arkansas Earth Day Festival — 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Union Plaza

Friday, April 23
Open House, 5K fun run, local U.S. Green Building Council membership mixer and Green Drinks — 5 to 8 p.m. at ClubHaus Fitness.

Saturday, April 24
