The changing of the season

ARIES: The season’s about to change and so must our health regimes, diets, ways we exercise and plan our day. Through this Virgo Mercury retro, it’s good to begin thinking along new lines, preparing for the coming changes in light, color, sun, shadows. These changes are reflected within ourselves, too. Relationships need extra tending.

Aug. 23 to Sept. 22

TAURUS: You will be out and about, learning new things, attending lectures, classes, gathering information. Your life and its task, illuminating the minds of humanity, are serious and disciplined. It would be good to consider what would be playful for you, bring enjoyment, fun, calling forth your lightness and sense of spontaneity?

GEMINI: What constitutes family to you, whether biological, friend, group, colleagues, etc., matters more and more. Something’s not complete with someone or maybe you need to visit to bring forth the next developmental stage in relationship(s). Harmony’s your focus with a touch of compromise (not much). Listening to others until you understand the essential message is a parallel goal. All of this brings love forth — your task.

CANCER: Make contact. These two words have a depth most don’t understand. Making contact releases Love. But it must be true, real and intentional contact. It must be from the heart, connecting heart to heart, Soul to Soul. The results are that Love being released creates liberation for everyone. However, you are the one to begin this process.

LEO: There’s a sense within that you must not only create a new plan concerning finances and resources, but that a new state of values must also come forth. If there are people close to you, you may want to communicate more deeply with them, sharing your values, asking what values they hold and what values you hold in common.

VIRGO: You will want to come out of the shadows and into a greater light. Standing in shadows, perhaps in the shadow of another is of comfort to you. However, there comes a time when we each must define ourselves, recognize our own self-identity, understand what we initiate, realize that we’re responsible, summon our confidence and seek a new support system.

LIBRA: This morning at Mass, I saw a drawing of a sheaf of wheat. A Virgo symbol of nourishment for humanity. I thought of Libra, and what nourishes them. Relationships, beauty, friends, equilibrium, balance, love, sacrifice, art. It’s the art of the wheat sheaf that caught my eye and I thought Librans must get back to their art in whatever form interests them.

SCORPIO: Do you sense restlessness, that there’s a group that belongs to you, that you belong in, yet somehow you can’t find it or they you? As you both search for the other, assess your present-day and future goals. They’ve changed recently or are in the process. Speak with those close to you. Ask for their visions and goals.

SAGITTARIUS: For one intense month the perfect execution of your work will be a priority. It always is, but a new dimension has been added. Multiple ideas flow through your mind; you’re being impressed with ideas that may become ideals. There’s an inner enthusiasm. Share your ideas with others who can assist. Diplomacy is paramount.

CAPRICORN: What will you do when autumn begins? It’s only a month away, but it seems something’s calling you, someone, somewhere. Perhaps it’s a course of study, something you want (or need) to learn. Somewhere you want to visit, travel to, discover? There also might be something you need to say somewhere far away.

AQUARIUS: Take extra care with your money and resources. Use this time to discriminate between what is needed and what is not. Give away what is not and then give more away. Giving provides you with meaning and a true sense of service and a liberation that allows you to move forward in your life.

PISCES: We are to do our best in the place(s) we find ourselves. Many of us are indecisive these days, unable to decide where we’re going, what to do when we don’t know what to do, how to provide our gifts when opportunities don’t seem to exist. Relationships seem to need compromise. You need some real passion and romance.

Burning Man: Life In Cities

During this Mercury in Virgo retrograde (Aug. 20-Sept. 12), the Black Rock Arts Festival, Burning Man, the yearly “desert art-piece on the playas,” begins, distilling all facets of community creation, living and sharing.
And so, through the retro, almost at summer’s end (Aug. 30-Sept. 6), the celebration develops, proceeds, burns, cleans up and then disappears without a trace. The theme this year is The Metropolis, the Life of Cities. People worldwide are returning to the cities. Tent cities are now in major metropolitan cities everywhere, filled with both the migrating masses and those who have lost their homes.
Burning Man is the shadow and template of a new society beginning to emerge. We are nearing apocalyptic times. Or perhaps we’re already in them. Burning Man, its creation, society and sense of community, can be seen as apocalyptic. For each year, out on the desert sands, “magnetic hubs of pulsing urban social interaction” rise up, form a city where its inhabitants create a community — “organic, spontaneous, heterogeneous and untidy, diverse, unpredictable and unique.”

ARIES: Careful with love and all encounters with intimates, loved ones, those close to you, partners, etc. You (or they) may feel estranged, separate, unloved and uncared for and yearn for contact and for the magnetic charms you usually lavish on what you love. We are to “be of love a little more careful than of anything.” (e.e. cummings).
TAURUS: Each day may feel more and more difficult. There could be tiredness, exhaustion, a need to tend to health and well-being. Perhaps choices you’ve made in the past five years need re-assessing. What are the consequences of these choices and should you make new ones (after the retro)?
GEMINI: Do you feel your creative process at a standstill? Do you recognize what your creative process is? What you actually have, when aligned with the Soul, is a “prophetic imagination,” both like and unlike that of Pisces. During this retrograde that rules you, ponder upon a critique on the present social situations worldwide.
CANCER: Since you nourish new ideas that must come into form and matter through impressing humanity’s minds and hearts, perhaps you can begin to help humanity envision a new and vibrant way of life, not the old materialism as we have known it, but the new materialism that responds to world/humanity’s need.
LEO: I’m wondering if there’s a lamentation for things that occurred in the family long ago. Perhaps there’s a lament for one or more family deaths. It would be good to express yourself more in depth about any and all things on your mind. It will help you trust yourself more. The more you talk, the more that’s hidden within you emerges. This is healing for you.
VIRGO: It would be good to hang mirrors everywhere and look into them, pondering upon who you are. It’s good to assess and re-assess everything about yourself including what you value. Create an “I Value” book. Set it alongside your “Retrograde” book and your “Esoteric quotes” book. Back to values. Write down everything you value. Begin with yourself.
LIBRA: When you think of your life as a child, what do you remember? What areas in your life that, successful now, can be traced back to what you were taught as a child? What beliefs do you carry into your life based upon resistance? How do you see your parents, in what light, and are you able to understand the Fourth Commandment?
SCORPIO: Do you feel, in any way, complicit with the materialistic (read destructive) forces accepted within our dominant culture? Do you explore or encounter new ways of being that undermine the materiality of the dominant culture? Why am I asking you these questions? Because you understand the underbelly of everything. And because, through you, everything reorients toward the light.
SAGITTARIUS: I am suggesting a book and author to you. He is brilliant. His work is brilliant. You are brilliant. So I thought to put the three together, a triangle, a symbol of synthesis. The author is Michael Eric Dyson. The book is “Can You Hear Me Now?” He wrote more books. This author understands God, hip-hop and popular culture, both black and white.
CAPRICORN: You’re on the brink, edge, precipice, border, boundary, periphery, perimeter of moving into the center of everyone’s world. You’ve tried to open many doors and felt often they were closed. Now as they open, you peek inside, realizing the choice to walk through or return home. There you rest, remember, retreat, reassess and review who you are. Revelations then happen.
AQUARIUS: You want to travel, but you don’t. Something holds you back. You decide to travel and things fall apart. You seek relationships but experience conflict and chaos instead. I want to remind you that conflict is Ray 4. From and through conflict a new harmony arises. Know also that for what you want in life, you must consider all the ways of cooperation.
PISCES: Something within relationship returns to an original place (or person). As this occurs, as you’re called here and there, by necessity or by desire (of others), you remember to stand still, quietly and in truth, within your own needs. Not just wants, but needs. It seems you’ve stopped praying, bordering on having no hope. Something lovely your ways comes. Embrace it. And drive away.

Mercury Retro In Virgo

THE WEEK: Mercury in Virgo turns retrograde Friday and lasts three weeks. Mercury retro joins five other starry retro big hitters — Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and Chiron. Retros are linked with the prefix “re.” We redo, review, revisit, rethink, re-examine, re-evaluate ideas, thoughts, plans, studies, agendas created since Mercury’s previous retro (April/May). With so many retrogrades, especially the major transformers (outer planets), the entire world is critically rethinking everything.

ARIES: Everything concerning your daily life is evaluated. You look at your life, environment, those around you and assess in what way you want yourself to change in response to them. You realize you must do things differently from now on and will assess what to do and the consequences. Careful at and with work and communicating with coworkers.

TAURUS: Interesting situations and communication may occur with lovers, children, and everyone’s sense of creative individuality. Issues within relationships that have not been resolved will reappear. Don’t defend. Listen carefully, instead. The unresolved issues must be dealt with or there will be a dissolving and dissolution of important things some time in the future.

GEMINI: Everything about home, family, mother, real estate, things domestic, will come into focus and will need careful perspectives. Make no important decisions unless an emergency occurs. Remember everyone in the family is experiencing the present astrological transits, only everyone’s experiencing them differently.

CANCER: Cancer, like a crab, circles a situation, entering the center from every direction. They do not walk a direct line to anything for they are wary of their prey at all times. Thus they have a very developed intuition. However, in the next three weeks that intuition may not be as honed as usual. Be aware of forgetfulness.

LEO: How is your financial situation? Do not create any great waves in your financial picture. No loans for example. But do take this time to review your finances, create new budgets, assess your flow of money, the hows and whys of these transactions and review if everything monetary is proceeding as planned.

VIRGO: Are you feeling somewhat distant and unable to communicate feelings? Are others saying you’re difficult and distant? During this time you are very internally involved, your mind is assessing all aspects of yourself. Your choices are clearly seen and you review them to see if they still reflect your values, needs and your very nature.

LIBRA: Be aware of thoughts and issues and things not tended to for a long time coming into your present life and asking for attention, which is needed. Know that much of your communication may not be heard or understood by others. Therefore try to be very clear when communicating, speak slowly, even tell people you’re having difficulty communicating.

SCORPIO: Do be careful with friends and in groups that plans made will be delayed, changed or not happen at all. Those close to you may seem distant or confused. However, expect friends from the past make contact and you consider re-entering a group or friendships from long ago and not seen in a long time. Allow no heartache or anguish from the past to continue.

SAGITTARIUS: Notice if there is sensitivity around these subjects: money, partnerships, resources/finances, speaking with superiors, thinking about career choices, communicating with coworkers, being misunderstood while in public, your life path, your future. It seems like every subject is sensitive. This too will pass and know you’re perfect.

CAPRICORN: Lay low for the next four weeks in terms of making promises, large decisions, signing anything into permanence, travel plans, traveling long distances, Realize thinking, communications, transactions and even people taking your money will all be internalized so deeply, outer realities won’t make sense. It will be a crazy, mixed up world. Only you will know why.

AQUARIUS: You must begin to be practical about your money and resources. After the next two months, it would be good for you to travel. However, at this point you must set new goals concerning your money and resources, reaffirm what is of value to you and eliminate all that is no longer useful or what you haven’t used, touched or looked at in the past several months.

PISCES: Maintain as clear a communication as you can with partners, intimates and those close to you. All relationships may enter into a phase of misunderstandings, perhaps disappointments, criticisms, overreactions, mixed messages and perhaps the need to call upon mediation. Pisces also at this time must begin to assess the value of their own thoughts, minds, decisions and needs and discriminate between the self and their beloved.

Awakening the Savior: Uranus Retros Back to Pisces

The week: After intense planetary activity, including solar flares and impact to Earth’s magnetic field, the energies slow down. Friday, Uranus retrogrades back into Pisces. Uranus stimulates revolution, inventiveness, freedom, new archetypes. When retrograde, the liberating energy of Uranus builds internally until it explodes! In Pisces and retrograde, Uranus is potent, deeply psychological, analytical, with intuition and revelations occurring at the speed of light. Freedom is re-awakened (think 1960s, which our present times reflect on a higher dimension).

ARIES: Things unconscious and habitual come to consciousness to be released. All things private will be reviewed, especially your feelings about religion, spirituality, helping others, how you feel when anonymous and behind the scenes instead of being front and center initiating world realities. Anything secret, already somewhat exposed, may have more light shed upon it.

TAURUS: Your circle of friends — groups that surround and love you — accept and listen intently to your carefully researched information. They begin to study what you are teaching for they are devoted to creating all things new. However, a review beforehand is necessary so that the successes of the past can provide a foundation for what is yet to come forth.

GEMINI: There’s a feeling of “been here, done that” and “isn’t it over yet?” I guess not. There’s a review occurring with your career, how you as an authority relate to others and toward those in chart. You want to be free of the past. However the past hasn’t revealed all of its secrets yet. More of your talents need self-discovery. When you appear, everyone’s liberated. Why would that be?

CANCER: Will you be traveling unexpectedly? Perhaps travel is already planned. Know something unexpected will occur, providing you with a sense of freedom, liberation from difficult feelings, past beliefs and that ongoing sense of limitation. Notice as you think differently, those that you meet are also different. Tradition is cast to the winds as you begin to cherish and welcome the unconventional.

LEO: It’s a good idea to tend to money and resources with extra care as something could occur that’s unexpected (again?) especially with shared resources. Keep up with all legal deadlines and matters: taxes, loans, debt. If not taken care of, pleasure and ease could be limited and expenditures multiply. Something experimental and unusual will take place.

VIRGO: If interactions or relationships seem confusing or difficult, you’ll quickly walk away thinking the situation too hard to bear. Cooperation is needed to understand what actions are appropriate and how to respond if everything feels limiting. Explore ways with those you love that bring about wonder instead of boredom. Explore the impossible, impractical, the unattainable and the unachievable. The outcome is interesting.

LIBRA: The habitual, regular, normal, consistent, orderly and routine in daily life, work and relationships unexpectedly change. Anything confining will be liberated, including people, places, things, ideas and beliefs — especially what creates separations, blocking love, in your life. Unusual methods of healing are of interest. Eventually only the unconventional (read holistic) will make sense.

SCORPIO: More and more you find yourself thinking unconventional thoughts, doing out of the ordinary activities that actually begin to describe who you really are and provide you with freedom of expression. It would be good to tell close friends and family you’re moving into an unusual, original, perhaps eccentric period of creativeness. It’s also a time of seeking more play. Unusual attractions occur, too.

SAGITTARIUS: You’ll return to an earlier interest, work, theme concerning family and home seeing how your history influences your present. Don’t be surprised if home life is somehow disrupted, if time speeds up and slows down, if routines keep changing, if decisions are quickly called for while patience dwindles. Hold all these things within a spirit of understanding that there’s no more normal, anywhere.

CAPRICORN: A return to a previous place with people previously known has, is or will be happening. You return to a neighborhood from long ago, or think about it to better understand that time in your life. You need new realities, ideas, fields of study, concepts that expose you to the future. Seeking new routines, you might dress, think, relate and express yourself differently.

AQUARIUS: You are awakening to the fact that you are of great value, something not realized before to such depth. As your self value grows, all that you value will change. I have found that without a sense of self-confidence firmly established, there is less forward movement because the self doesn’t know what to choose or how to take action. This will change.

PISCES: In the next several months you’ll break from the past and all things (people, ideas, beliefs, fears) that have hindered your freedom, self-identity, creativity and self-expression. You trusted others to have your interests at heart. However, you found this wasn’t possible. An awakening is occurring, informing you to be strong and make decisions about and for yourself.

Essential & Sweeping Change

Astrologically, the coming week/month is very challenging. The upcoming transits, phenomenal in their power, force, strength and multiplicity (with more to come), have long-range, enduring and continuing effects upon all of humanity’s endeavors.

Thursday, Mars enters Libra. Mars presents humanity with nine tests, including testing our ability to recognize and discriminate between the two forces presently at battle on our planet.

Simultaneously, as Libra asks us to choose sides, Mars allows us to distinctly see the difference between personality and the Soul. Watch the news for “arbitration,” mediation (Libra) between two distinct factions often at war (Mars).

Friday, Mars opposes Uranus (explosions!). Saturday Mars/Saturn (Libra) opposes Uranus (new archetypes) in Aries (initiating new realities). Monday, retro Jupiter (in Aries) squares Pluto in Capricorn. We must respond to the present transformations (Pluto) differently.

Tuesday, combining the above-mentioned planets with the U.S. chart, a Cardinal Grand Square (change initiated) is formed with Venus/Jupiter (money) in Cancer (U.S. chart). The June 26 lunar eclipse (things in form dissolve) is activated. What will disappear next? Everything no longer useful.

Wednesday, Mars opposes Jupiter and squares Pluto (more big explosions!), creating a celestial T-square (two squares). With Pluto involved, we’re hastening toward fundamental, essential, sweeping and thorough transformation. It’s time, and we all know it.

ARIES: A new and unusual era begins for you, including a new belief in yourself (gradually forming) and a new way of working in the world (also gradual). Careful of health and especially diet. Be regular with exercise and vitamins. Sometimes fiery (and mutable) signs can’t maintain a regimen of health supplements. However, they’re vital to your present tasks, upcoming demands and essential to your longevity.

TAURUS: In so many ways you’re becoming the fish of the zodiac, Pisces. Some may find this disheartening. However, it’s very special having Pisces characteristics. Yes, it’s difficult to see, to walk and to keep a purposeful focus. Yes, you become accident-prone, clumsy, and only the moment is real. However, and even with all these physical obstructions, your job description becomes world savior. You “see” differently.

GEMINI: The message each week focuses on the same information — that of you and groups and both expanded due to your participation. However, you must begin to discriminate and choose which groups are part of the New Group of World Servers and people of Goodwill. As the months progress, it is these groups you will be magnetized toward. They call to you. Can you hear?

CANCER: So many things are culminating for you: long-held hopes and wishes are coming true (look around), and these will bring forth new opportunities, aid and assistance and a deeper love given and received. You often act alone, rarely asking for help. Where you find yourself now was achieved with little assistance from others. Now new realities appear, new goals, hopes, wishes and dreams. And healing. Someone left. Someone appears.

LEO: In the next year your horizons will expand. You have travel fever and wanderlust, which means your life is about to open up and your mind is ready, willing and able. The next year should be a philosophical adventure. A companion? Perhaps not. You’ve been there, done that (wounds in relationship, dissolving relationships), yes? Although I never write clichés, that one is appropriate. Happy birthday.

VIRGO: Let’s see … what are the keywords here for you — power, death, rebirth, reorientation, sex, inheritance, shared resources. Some or all will knock, then sail into your living room for a visit. All can create chaos, mayhem and disorder. Try not to misapply, misuse or abuse any of them or, like a snake protecting itself, the sting is poisonous. You understand.

LIBRA: Good things, almost too good to be true, will occur in the next year. Money and relationships increase. This creates new responsibilities. Sometimes with money, we don’t know how to handle it. Sometimes with excellent relationships, we (Librans) only think of ourselves. It’s important to have a relationship talk, asking if goals, dreams, wishes, hopes, fears and handling money are compatible. The question is what does one do if they aren’t?

SCORPIO: In all things, especially food, diet, health and exercise, there must be a constancy and regularity created. There’s a possibility that food, drink, drugs (any types) and sex are in excess, and over time, health begins to fail. You have the will to not let this occur. It’s good to examine if your daily work is serving you and helping others. If not, you have the courage to change either the work or your perceptions.

SAGITTARIUS: You will have days in which everything’s in a state of release, transformation and change and then days of harmony, ease and blended realities. This tension will create the attention needed to create new things (artistic) and express yourself differently. If a parent, you’ll enhance and improve everything about and for your children (nieces, nephews, etc.). But most of all, in between these high endeavors, you’ll seek (need) fun, pleasure and perhaps even a new (aghast!) lover! Maybe.

CAPRICORN: At times being the parent or head of household will feel so vast you’ll want to run away from home. Running is a good thing (for exercise, to win a race), but do come home again. Everyone needs you. Oh, dear, if you hear the words “needs you” again, you’ll expire! You’re restless for new realities, a new home and more psychological, physical and emotional room. What you also need is a new foundation (support for self) to belief in. Where’s you mommy?

AQUARIUS: You are busy learning new information (or seeking it out) and travel’s in the cards. How you ask? Over time it will appear. Have you been or are you in contact with brothers and sisters, relatives, family? Whether relations with them are good or bad, be in touch. Don’t expect anything in return. You need to encounter something new — actually many things new. How do you learn best?

PISCES: You’re on the edge of things, waiting for new realities, wondering how to value yourself, how to use money appropriately. You want to begin something, not knowing how. Most important is how you feel about yourself, which, in the past years, has fallen a bit. A change must occur for you, a resource, a safe haven. In Permaculture, which observes living systems, “the most diversity exists at the edges. It is here that change happens naturally.” Stay at the edge.

Saturn Enters Libra

Last Wednesday, in the early morning, Saturn (Dweller on the Threshold, Taskmaster, Disciplinarian) entered Libra. Saturn is dignified and in “exaltation” in Libra. It does good things. Libra is the sign of relationships and the creation of right relations.

“Exaltation” in astrology means the planet continues to grow in strength, bestowing goodness and the power of cooperation (Aquarian principle and Saturn is the ancient ruler of Aquarius). Saturn reorganizes, reforms and redistributes.

While in Libra, Saturn restructures our relationships to each other, allows us to see the essential needs of a partner and how to make the relationship last forever. Saturn in Libra also restructures our money and economic systems. The new currency will eventually shift to food.

Thursday Sun enters Leo — fixed, fire, gold, the heart, generous, strong, noble — the king and queen need appreciation, praise. During Leo we identify ourselves through our creations and evolve through others’ recognizing our gifts. Friday, Jupiter is stationary retrograde until Nov. 18. It’s a good time to review goals.

Sunday is full moon. Monday, Saturn opposite Uranus occurs for the fifth time. Since Autumn 2008, there has been a gradual movement toward a world uprising Saturn opposite Uranus in the ‘60s created the cultural, health, marriage, relationship revolution. ARIES: In the next several years, how you participate in relationships will change. You might find yourself clashing with those close to you. Or there will be a need for deeper understanding with intimates. You will separate or marry, find a partner or feel solitary while learning about commitment, compromise and everything concerning I/Thou. Truth will hold you.

TAURUS: Perhaps something has changed with that romantic relationship. Perhaps you’ve defined more clearly how you want to live your life. Now there’s more responsibility with work, overwhelming at times for you are working alone. Then there’s everything not tended to from the past four years. They sit there, waiting. A huge cleaning is being called for. Health wise, too. You must take care.

GEMINI: A great gift will begin to unfold. Gradually you will come to know what motivates, encourages and provides you with confidence. You will also begin to express yourself in creative ways. This will entertain you while simultaneously providing knowledge of your purpose, identity, gifts and why you’re different.

CANCER: Your home: It’s changing or going to change or you’re going to move or add to it or abandon it or house family or … whatever it is, home is your foundation, identity and roots. It’s where you came from with all past attachments you dearly love. Reorganization must begin internally and externally. Family responsibilities increase. You may not feel brave. But you’re constant steady and stable. The family’s grateful.

LEO: You and others will seek to understand how well you communicate, gather, disseminate information, what your mental skills are, what you know and what you don’t. You will feel somber and at times worried about time and the effectiveness of your efforts. You will eliminate what’s unnecessary, organize and become more efficient and realistic. And maybe take in (more) cats.

VIRGO: You will assess feelings of self-worth and wonder how valuable you are. Seeking to know this from the outer world does not produce an adequate evaluation. You may feel unsupported, discouraged at times for you do work very hard at everything. You will be challenged to create a new sense of self-confidence and worthiness. Where is your solid financial grounding? Is it secure? Where is your garden?

LIBRA: How others “see” you, how you look, the thought of aging — these serious thoughts and more will be pondered in the coming two years. A stronger sense of self will begin to emerge along with a greater sense of self-confidence. Inner strength will develop and all illusions will cease. Especially in terms of you and family. Anything superficial will disturb and distress you. A new foundation is forming concerning future work. Slow down a bit.

SCORPIO: The contemplative life becomes a goal as you assess your past, who you are, all that you’ve accomplished, or haven’t, and all you hope to do. A cycle has come to a close. A new cycle of life begins. Everything behind the scenes begins to clear up so the new life beginning will have no dark mysteries, no past that needs completion. You will be grateful for this. It will take time. You have time eternal.

PISCES: Outer world pressures lacks something and turns you inward to encounter your desires, aspiration, attachments. How you were able to control your life and environment is no longer available or effective. At first there is confusion, then adaptability takes over. It is not comfortable. There is a need for emotional freedom and a struggle emerges. You will struggle toward that liberation. Have faith. Or hope. Or at least, an espresso.

It Takes A Revolution

Thursday is Virgo moon, a gentle gestating day till early evening when Mars arrives for dinner. On Friday, moon enters Libra, calling us to right relationships. Pray for those (all kingdoms) living in the Gulf Coast area. Friday is orderly, serious, disciplined in the morning, unruly in the afternoon. Saturday, Mars joins the U.S. Neptune. Neptune is oil. Mars/Neptune gives an indirect, roundabout response, which is how BP is handling the Gulf situation. With Mars/Neptune there can be lies, cloudy realities, things left to “fate,” real control is illusive, facts are unclear, infections appear, there’s mystery and secrecy. Problems must be solved spiritually.

Sunday, Monday and part of Tuesday are Scorpio moon days. Chiron enters Aquarius Tuesday morning. Healing occurs through the study, understanding and application of astrology. Sag moon begins Tuesday evening. Saturn inconjucts Chiron late Tuesday evening and Wednesday. An inability to compromise and therefore a paradox appears between what’s traditional (accepted) and the unconventional (more holistic, unusual, future oriented). We must adjust in order to integrate the startling reality that appears. We’re disturbed and thus dismiss and discredit an evolutionary advance that’s being presented. We’re called to “create and anchor on Earth a vehicle for alchemical change. Can we do this? Who can step forward? It takes a revolution.

ARIES: Since you’re an intrinsic leader making choices on your own with no one’s approval, it is often difficult to take direction, to have others above you, to follow another’s authority. As the changes continue in our world, you may find yourself under someone else’s direction. If this occurs, think of it as a learning adventure. Think of them as learning how to lead. You already know.

TAURUS: You’re attempting to awaken the awareness and bring forth the consciousness of many people through communication, discussion, writing, group work. You find that most people are slow to change, there is an inertia built of habit and of fear. You’re most patient and for this we are grateful. However, you know when you’ve offered enough. Now you step back.

GEMINI: Is the group you’ve belonged to changing in drastic ways? Is your money situation continually in a transforming state? Are you communicating and is anyone listening? Is home a comfort, a place to work, a place to leave, a place of safety as well as a restriction? Do you not know the next forward step?

CANCER: Your doing so many errands and attempting to accomplish so many tasks, plus there’s always so much shopping. Changes are going to occur in your home soon (people coming, going, staying, leaving) and all these tasks are in preparation. Either you’ll move, or family visits or redecoration is planned or a complete restructuring. In the meantime think about your winter garden.

LEO: Soon a new light will shine in your world. It will be the Sun with its heart of love and wisdom. A whole year has almost come to an end for you. Endings, subtle and internal, are occurring opening up the pathways for a new year of endeavors. It is a good time for reflection and quiet review for the year ending and a new one beginning. Gather your memories and do a little celebration.

VIRGO: Three planets are in Virgo — Venus, Mars and Saturn. Venus brings intelligent love and attraction. Mars, activity and direction. Saturn brings discipline. Saturn, the taskmaster and in your sign for the past three years, enters Libra this week. Notice a shift into lightness, a movement from the rigors of discipline and structure to the need for relating more. It’s subtle.

LIBRA: Saturn has entered your sign, Libra, and for the next several years there will be a shift and change of emphasis in your relationships. You will grow up more, become more disciplined and structured. You will ask the same of others. When Saturn enters a specific sign, those of that sign often lose weight. The bare bones of reality come for a visit. Your life will be interesting in the coming years.

SCORPIO: Your communication with others has deepened. You’re more serious and your thought processes more structured as you delve more into mysteries and things unknown. Scorpios are often surgeons, alchemists, mystery schoolteachers, deep-sea divers, funeral directors and tenders of other people’s money. Whichever you are, more discipline has entered your life, and more responsibility, for a long time to come.

SAGITTARIUS: Something good is, or will be, occurring professionally. Others are attracted to what you do because you do it very well — with detail, order and organization. Money continues to be an ongoing issue. It’s not that you don’t have any, but what you have seems to elude you in terms of how to use it with practicality. It keeps disappearing somehow. Along with how you value yourself. All of this is changing. In good time.

CAPRICORN: Have you been thinking or communicating about money? Are you wondering about your position in the world, asking if you’ve climbed enough steps to the top? There will be a restructuring, in the years to come, as to how you’re seen in the world. More disciplined, more orderly, serious and conservative. These are good ways to be. They define a leader who’s helping to create the new civilization.

AQUARIUS: You will seek more travel and adventure. Although your life seems to be an adventure, there are many parts of yourself that are traditional. Tend to money and resources carefully so you are able to finance all you must do. As you travel you will seek where you truly call home. This will be the task of your heart.

PISCES: Contacts are being made, decisions, too, that affect your coming year. As I mentioned to Aquarius, tend to money carefully. It may feel as if it’s here today and gone tomorrow. Your life needs to be reorganized, from the bottom up and sideways. Much needs to be eliminated, sorted, ordered, filed and then protected. You’ll find you need less and less. Sunday, the United States will be 234 years old, the numbers adding up to nine. Nine means endings. Esoterically nine signifies initiation, a shift to a higher state of consciousness. The U.S. is presently having a transit of Pluto opposite Venus indicating economic transformation. Humanity will soon define its true values. This occurs after revolutionary breakdowns. We’re no longer slouching toward that happening.

Uranus retrogrades Monday. When Uranus (revolution) entered Aries (making all things new) on May 28, new developments and possibilities were set in motion. We shifted our attention from the old to the new unfolding Aquarian culture and civilization. As Uranus retrogrades, we’ll investigate these new ideas. To make all things new, we must first change internally.

The principle of freedom emerges within us with Uranus retrograde.

Freedom stimulates the revolution needed for humanity to separate from the forces of materiality and create the new sharing society, the “new materiality.”

When Uranus turns direct on Dec. 5, we’ll have the strength, courage and tools to move forward. Humanity is poised on a threshold of choice.

ARIES: Uranus is the awakener. A great shift in perception will begin as you seek more freedom of expression, but first you’ll feel you can’t speak your mind. Because a new awakening is occurring, you’ll wonder if you must leave all you love behind. It’s a risk to help create a new world. You have the tools and courage. Rest so you can hear the call.

TAURUS: Events are rushing you toward the future you’ve been warning us about. Certain elements of your life are no longer available. All things from the past will be useless.

GEMINI: There’s need for a change in your social circle. You require a new life, new ideas that apply the astrological and esoteric to your daily life.

CANCER: Following orders seems more difficult and you resist anyone with authority. You’ll learn to discern and discriminate soon enough. Don’t be impulsive, avoid alcohol and observe yourself. Notice how creative you are. People look to you for unusual information. You’re seen as rather radical.

LEO: Will you be traveling soon? If so, unusual events may occur. You’ll encounter new ways of thinking, creating open-minded, utopian, communal thoughts (again). Traditions fall away and gradually you’ll become unconventional, adapting from cultures ways of being that comfort you.

VIRGO: Shared resources, taxes, loans, insurance and values may be shaken up. This creates the need to rebalance, choosing your own values and finding your own money to pursue what’s most important.

LIBRA: Everyone close may feel unpredictable. You may change your view of relationships and feel you can’t rely on your partner. There could be a sense of limitation, creating a challenge to break free. You or your partner may become rebellious, act in surprising ways. You sense you’re on your own. In some ways, you are. It will redefine you. Reach out.

SCORPIO: Everything may feel like it’s being shaken up. You feel the need to loosen yourself from previous ways of thinking, beliefs and relating. Tend to health.

SAGITTARIUS: Don’t be surprised should you experience sudden changes in thoughts and creativity. Don’t be surprised if you’re attracted to a totally different type of person, place or way of life.

CAPRICORN: Observe your home life. Are changes and subtle fluctuations happening? Perhaps within? Routines may shift, decision-making becomes deeper and more internal, you don’t want anything unusual or hasty to be arranged because you would feel out of control.

AQUARIUS: You may find yourself easily bored and things traditional or habitual not useful. You seek new realities, new studies, unusual fields of endeavors and concepts. You’re highly creative when speaking and writing.

PISCES: Convert extra money to silver or gold, use it to buy land, food and essential things that sustain. Your values are changing. Income may fluctuate, so outlay must be practical. Midsummer And Full Moon

Today is Midsummer Day and Feast of St. John the Baptist. The ancients honored the plant kingdom on midsummer’s day. It is the time of a great wedding feast (Duke Theseus to Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons) as written by Shakespeare in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, three plots, a wedding under the light of the moon and fairyland featuring the King and Queen of the Fairies, Oberon and Titanic, also the names of Uranus’ first discovered moons. Saturday is a full moon. Following the solstice, this is an important and powerful full moon. The light of the full moon reflects the light of Cancer, the mother, the nurturer of humanity. ARIES: Being creative is a good self-identity. Creativity is calling you to initiate new endeavors that respond to the changes coming your way in terms of work, how you’re recognized, relationships and self-identity. Observe with calmness. Tend to health with a focus on proper digestion (probiotics, enzymes, green foods).

TAURUS: Home and how it sustains your relationship must hold your focused attention. There’s much to be done. Ask yourself what the bigger picture is concerning your life, geography, relationships, partnerships. Careful if working in the hot sun. You may not be absorbing enough water. Maintain proper and adequate electrolytes. Something challenges you, calling you to consider other realities. Step into them.

GEMINI: Mercury, your planet the Messenger, and the Sun line up in Cancer this week. A line of light streams directly into your mind and heart. It creates a framework within that unifies polarities, but only if you love more, which happens when enough information has been gathered. Study and gather facts on finances, resources, gold and silver, land, gardens and foods that sustain.

CANCER: Communication may be difficult and you may feel anger and frustration. Others could be acting out those feelings for you. There’s a situation with money. Whatever you give opens a gate. Are you called in four different directions? Nothing’s consistent. You’re learning to navigate the waters of change. Return to the foundations of your upbringing. Understanding slowly emerges.

SCORPIO: Try not to be careless when communicating about people’s lives. Maintain ethics. Your values have shifted so you’re evaluating communications. This is good. Home is dissolving and coming together simultaneously as you seek comfort within groups. A wound seems to come from the future/past. CAPRICORN: An illumination, a completion and then a new beginning occurs at the Full Moon. Do you feel stretched, called in four directions? The direction of others, partnerships, colleagues; of work and recognition in the world of home, family and daily vicissitudes; and finally yourself? This is all very difficult. Acknowledge all four realities. Place an angel at each of the four directions. Stand at the center of the cross and willingly, intelligently and lovingly direct.

AQUARIUS: Each day seems filled with responsibilities, tasks, errands, strivings attempting to create comfort and nurturance. On the other hand a dreaminess permeates your choices and relationships become more important. You need to learn new communication skills. Ones that are less strict and more conciliatory as if you’ve been listening well.

PISCES: As you step more into the world, abilities are called forth that awaken your sense of self-identity and your ability to direct, work with and serve others. These “others” need nurturing and you’re the one with these nurturing qualities. However, you feel a great tension and unease of not being in the right place. Yet you continue forward. Father, Summer, The Oil Spill — One Hot Summer

Father’s Day is Sunday. Libra moon trine Mercury in Gemini creates opportunities for communicating with feeling and intelligence to our fathers. Summer, the longest day of light, begins Monday. The fairy world begins to rest, their work creating the plant kingdom complete for the year. Jupiter’s the morning star, brilliant Venus at night.

Oil spill questions: Is the Gulf oil spill the final event that will bring down our economy? Was it created intentionally? Is the floor of the sea fractured? Are there 18 other sites spewing oil? Are two million-plus gallons a day flowing into the sea? Is the oil dispersant (Corexit) placed on the waters (the toxic fumes falling from clouds) creating illness? Are geographic areas on lockdown? Will nuclear weapons be needed to cap the spill as Russia once had to? What will the consequences be on the economy and food supply? Will there be unrest, will the market fall, and will a massive migration occur? Our world and lives are changing rapidly.

There’s an eclipse next week. Astrology provides guideposts for humanity. The heavens tell us we’re in for one hot summer of enormous disruption and unprecedented unrest. Is everyone prepared?

ARIES: You feel there’s more than enough inner strength and energy to meet all the expectations and demands of work and the world, both self-imposed and from others. You will work till you drop, with something very unusual: detail, order and organization. These you will demand from others as well. Careful. They don’t have your same chart.

TAURUS: It’s time to come home now. This means from either far away or to simply spend time where you live in order to order and organize it. It’s been a long time (years?) since you’ve been able to assess needs in your personal life. Since you’re been focused outwardly, saving the world, things like home could be quite in need. Is your home safe from fires? Seeking assistance is practical.

GEMINI: Consider yourself seriously for a while. Think of all the things you need in all aspects of your life. Consider the state of your home and family, your relationships and money, your communication and sense of well-being. Are all these as they should be, do you bring comfort, calmness and ease? Do this life assessment quietly over time. Allow anger to be acknowledged should it appear.

CANCER: It’s good for you to assess the truth, which you glean from your feelings and senses. It’s good to tell people how you feel about everything, even themselves. When we speak the truth about something, fresh air is able to come into every relationship. When speaking the truth, be neutral, ask questions, be kind and courteous. Truth sets everyone free. Thank you.

LEO: You are being very responsible. You are taking your creative endeavors and applying them to daily life situations. I think that you would like to be doing something else in your life that gets you out and about into the wilds, that serves the animal (or bird or fish) kingdom by giving it food, shelter, medicine and comfort. You want to be elsewhere. However, you are here. We need you, too.

VIRGO: You have new energy, you’re active, self-confidence becomes you, you’re happy, you’re enthusiastic, you’re busy, there’s no time for relaxation. When you’re not working night and day, you’re counting your money (or feeling its lack). In terms of money a famous teacher said “don’t worry, be happy.” The “happy” brings the resources closer to you.

LIBRA: A spiritual essence begins to tincture your daily life. This is good. It will alleviate judgments you may be carrying since childhood. Those judgments permeate your life and although you may think you’re happy, if judgments about others persist, they are eventually projected on those around you, even the best relationships. There is such a thing as forgiveness. It releases us in the same way truth does.

SCORPIO: What revolution is beginning in your life? What expansion is simultaneously occurring? What new direction is being taken along with your new self-identity, focus and activities? Everything’s changing for you. It’s not just your perception. Things you’ve waited for will eventually appear. Now all you have to do is begin to organize it all without feeling overtaken, overwhelmed and dissolved. Hang on.

SAGITTARIUS: Remember to do your work and your job with composure, inner poise, exhibiting no pressure toward self or others. You are being watched as to your ability to create right relations, balancing leadership with friendship, keeping the two separate with finesse, elegance, grace and skill. This is quite a job. You most likely already display all of this. Now more is called for.

CAPRICORN: Many days, weeks and months of work reach a summit. If you look back on autumn of last year, something began. Now it is at a point of manifestation, of being seen in the world. Perhaps this is you, who is presently always in a state of transformation and transfiguration. There are perhaps lots of thoughts concerning travel, going far away, experiencing new cultures, foods, people. Yes, go. There’s a place for you.

AQUARIUS: Tend to money carefully. Put money away for future needs. Always do this second, when money comes in. Tithe some of it first. This assures you a constant supply in terms of your life needs. When we give, more is returned. Humanity has yet to learn this. The new materialism is the sharing society. You should be leading humanity in this endeavor.

PISCES: You shift between pain and wounding and comfort. It’s such an interesting polarity. Both can be felt as extremes. However, you are seeking the way in between, the point of poise, and you find it a “razor’s edge.” It is. A crossroads is coming. A decision, too. You need sensitive handling. Tend to yourself, your money and resources with great care. Talk with family.
