Artist and assistant Tenchi paints Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, from atop a painter's lift while working on a mural with fellow artist Alexis Diaz at College Avenue and Center Street in Fayetteville. The mural is a part of the Unexpected Mural Festival in Fort Smith, which moved part of its effort north to include Fayetteville. The work should be done in the next few days.

The Chicago group is in the middle of a 120-day national tour this summer, including a stop at Backspace in Fayetteville at 7 p.m. Friday with Neon Glittery, Open Fields and PZA.
