U.S. Grown, Produced Spirits For Holiday Season

Holiday Drinks 3By Terrah Baker

Following the fleeing of factory and production jobs overseas in past years, many people are looking for a way to support American infrastructure, especially during the holiday season. If this sounds like you, and you’re looking to entertain guests, or yourself, this holiday season, we may have just the product suggestion.

Salute Vodka hit shelves in early 2012 and is already available at stores throughout Northwest Arkansas. It’s edge is that it offers Vodka made with U.S.-grown crops, housed in U.S.-blown glass bottles and $1 of every purchase goes to a U.S. veterans’ program. And the quality ain’t bad either, being distilled four times for a “smooth, clean” taste. In Northwest Arkansas, Salute chose to sponsor a small farm in West Fork, Across the Creek Farm, as the recipient of $10,000 to go towards a salary for their Farmer Veteran internship.

Currently, Salute can be found at the following stores in and around Fayetteville: Premier Wine and Spirits on MLK, Town and County Liquors on MLK, Dicksen Street Liquor on MLK, the Spirit Shop on Garland, Liquor Mart and Wine Shop on College, Crossover Liquor on Crossover, The Bottle and Wine Spirits on Augustine Lane, and Cheers Liquor and Wine Shoppe in Springdale. And once you’ve purchased your Vodka, enjoy these holiday recipes!
