A Mountain Town In Its Natural State

The Fayetteville Roots Festival, now in its fourth year, is much more than a celebration of music. Yes, there will be 53 bands, including headliner John Prine, playing six venues over the four-day event, but there also will be locally sourced food in a celebration of “a mountain town in its natural state,” which is the festival’s slogan.

Sixteen moms and 20 breastfed babies from Northwest Arkansas gathered at Terra Tots on School Avenue in Fayetteville last Thursday to show their support for breastfeeding — something that is natural, beneficial and fun, said several of the women.
